Everything stays on your machine. AI Nightstand processes all data locally using Ollama. Nothing is sent to any external server unless you explicitly configure optional internet-connected features (like RSS feeds). Even then, data flows in — nothing flows out.

Linux is the primary platform and is fully supported. macOS works well too. Windows support is available via WSL2. For a dedicated always-on machine, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS or Debian are recommended.
